Pick Your Quarantine House

This "pick your quarantine house" has many different versions that have been making the rounds on Facebook - there are ones with politicians, actors, singers, historical figures, and the like. This one I found you choose the style house you would choose to be quarantined in. Let's add a Chinoiserie Chic category. We need to come up with five design elements we would include in our Chinoiserie Chic home.

Here's mine:

7. Chinoiserie Chic
Gracie hand painted Chinoiserie wallpaper
A collection of blue and white Chinese porcelain
A pair of Christopher Spitzmiller  lamps
A tufted sofa in navy blue velvet
A collection of interior design coffee table books

Which of these 7 houses would you choose to be quarantined in?

Now let's see your version of the Chinoiserie Chic quarantine house list. I'd love to see what Chinoiserie you would choose.

  1. I'd definitely want to be quarantined in the Chinoiserie Chic house! It sounds perfect! Your page has become my most anticipated internet destination each day during these difficult times. Kudos for doing a great job of helping keep our spirits up!

  3. I'm with CC. But I'd ditch the sofa for four wing chairs—you know, for social distancing!! In actuality I DID ditch the sofa for all chairs in my house and don't regret it for a minute. Stay well and sassy.

    1. I actually love that look. I had considered it for my living room here. I will ty try to do a post on using chairs in lieu of a sofa because it's a great choice. Thanks and stay safe.

  5. Another great reader participation post--after the Chinoiserie gone bad series! Beth, you're on a roll! I'd choose a Chinoiserie Chic room fer sure!
    Here are my tweaks:
    1) Hand painted (by me to save money!) Chinoiserie walls using The Stencil Library Chinese trees and flowers stencils in silver, white and light lavender.
    2) Large blue and white ginger jars overflowing with bunches of cherry blossoms.
    3) Large White Rumba lamps (RIP) from ShinebySHO.
    4) Fuschia orchids all over
    5) Tufted light pink velvet comfy sofa with Kelly Weartsler Graffito pillows.
    6) Two Moon Chair Power Recliners by Famaliving California in powder/ice blue.
    7) Large pile of psychological thrillers like THE SILENT PATIENT (the best!!!) and a stack of logic puzzles and access to online bridge.
    8) Call me in two years and let me know if we're allowed out yet.

    1. WOW!!!!!!! I would love to see this room. I had to laugh about the online bridge - my SO is addicted since the in person clubs are not meeting. Guess what he is doing right this minute? LOL. Thanks for all the effort you put into this comment. I almost said a pink velvet tufted sofa but I recently bought a navy blue velvet - a bit more practical with a messy man.

  6. I definitely vote for the Chinoiserie Chic house, as long as it has an extra freezer. I'd trade a lot for an extra freezer right now.

    1. We were just talking about that last night. Even though we have a huge Sub Zero refrigerator/freezer, I still need more freezer space to minimize grocery store trips.

  7. I was waffling between #one and #two but the Peloton in the living room killed the deal for #two...move it to the back room.

    1. There is a deal breaker in all of them for me, so I created my own.

  8. Without a doubt, #7!! Second choice would be the #2, Luxe.
