Here is a lovely idea for a Chinoiserie New Year's Eve centerpiece for the table. Take a Chinese lantern (or a pagoda or a blue and white ginger jar and surround it with flowers in matching colors - white orchids or white roses and blue hydrangeas would be gorgeous with blue and white Chinese porcelain, for example.
