    In DIY instructions for similar molding ideas, it has been suggested to use picture frame molding.

    Beth,
    On a project we did on the east coast of Florida, we used REAL bamboo for the crown molding, and curtain poles- Even though they had a slightly wavy effect, they worked well to introduce a charming, organic quality to a casual Florida environment!
