Isn't this the coolest idea? I love the idea of black and gold painted stairs. This would be a perfect backdrop for Chinoiserie whether beautiful Chinoiserie wallpaper or blue and white Chinese porcelain. You probably all remember this iconic Ashley Whittaker Chinoiserie foyer with its black and gold diamond patterned painted floor.
