In the fabric store the other day, I found a new fabric I fell in love with. It reminds me a bit of a favorite fabric of mine, Brunschwig & Fils Gillian S Zebras shown below.
Called "Best in Show" by P Kaufman, it combines Chinoiserie (Chinese Chippendale, blue and white Chinese porcelain, palms, and pagodas) and dogs and even has A Japanese Chin! I am planning to use it for a dog bed for our new Japanese Chin Margot. It also pictures Pomeranians, Pugs, Papillons, Scottish Terriers, Cocker Spaniels, King Charles Spaniels, and Shit Zhus.
Besides dog beds, this would be great for pillows, window treatments, tablecloths, a headboard, bedding, so many uses. And it is very well priced - if you search you will find it online at many vendors starting at about $16.95 a yard. It is available in Cayenne, Puddle, and Bone.

How cute would it be to use this darling fabric on one of the dog beds you highlighted last month?!

I shared your post about this beautiful fabric with my sister, Claire Hallman, who also recently brought home a new puppy, a pug they named "Cookie". Claire loves design and fabric, having only recently retired from running her own drapery workroom.

ReplyDeleteI have a large piece of the bottom print that I made my mom buy for at fabric shop when I was little. I've meant to turn into a pillow for years, I think I need to now!
