Velvet and Chinoiserie


I can't imagine a more delicious combination than velvet and Chinoiserie. Here's a great tip from House Beautiful on upholstering with velvet.

    Pretty post! I see Tory Burch's house there, and for one insane molment- thought I saw my own! But, no, just my De Gournay pattern and background color. It's nice to see how others decorate around it.

    I love velvet, chocolate & china in that order. Agree on the low pile thing & also a good new antiqued/distressed velvet will not show the stress. Not to mistaken for a "parish the thought" crushed velver....
