In honor of the upcoming 4th of July, I thought it would be fun to focus this week on decorating with red, white, and blue with Chinoiserie, of course. This color scheme need not be country or kitschy. When combined with Chinoiserie, it is quite sophisticated and is a natural with Chinoiserie - think blue and white Chinese porcelain, blue and white Chinoiserie toile fabrics and wallpaper, navy blue, Chinese red, coral red, and glossy white lacquered furniture.

I'm not a huge fan of this color combo (other than on the flag, of course), but I have to admit that I love love that picture with the chiang mai dragon wallpaper. I never get tired of it and I love that colorway.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
