My daughter Kate instagrammed me this photo last night of her new pineapple above and I decided it would make a great post - the hot new trend of pineapples in decor. These pineapples are not the Early American/Willliamsburg version with brass trivets and welcome mats. These pineapples are bold, modern, graphic, colorful, and fun. They combine beautifully with Chinoiserie and create a Hollywood Regency vibe. I have a Pinterest board with lots of great examples
here.

I have a white ceramic pineapple I found at MICHAEL'S of all places a few years ago that I keep by my front door. It is a Southern symbol for hospitality so the sentiment is nice too.
ReplyDeleteI have always loved pineapples as a sign of hospitality! These are such cool examples!
