I am about to start a new series with requests I have been collecting from followers of Chinoiserie Chic on topics for posts. An example I received is a post on how to add Chinoiserie touches to your desk. Any subjects you'd like to see covered? Please email me or leave a comment.
Beth, I would love to see some inexpensive examples of chinoiserie fabrics and wallpaper. This is where I feel my rut is!
ReplyDeleteI think it would be fun to see old school Chinoiserie mixed with the newer modern version. Another would be your favorite Chinoiserie china patterns. I'd also love to see Chinoiserie in Palm Beach. Maybe a week long or more series on different designers and how each one incorporates Chinoiserie.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure if this is what Jennifer just said, but I would like to know how to mix my grandmothers old chinoiserie cocktail tables with clean lined furniture.
ReplyDeleteWhen, if ever, does a room have too much chinoiserie or gets it wrong?
ReplyDeleteI have long been fascinated by the oriental screen depicted in Karen Blixen's book "Out of Africa," where she wove stories for her friends out of the scenes etched on the screen. I've found very little info and no clear pictures of it online - would you be able to sleuth out more info on this illusive chinoiserie screen? Or examples of similar? Thank you! JenC
ReplyDeleteBeth,
ReplyDeleteI would love to see photos of the apartment of Francoise and Oscar de La Renta from Vogue October 71. This is so beautifully executed. I believe your viewers would enjoy. Love your blog.
Marion Erwin
I would love to hear of sources for inexpensive chinoiserie wallpaper or cheap and stylish alternatives. Thanks. Iris
ReplyDeleteI would like to see more gardens, patios or sunrooms with chinoiserie elements. Love your blog, especially the dramatic interior layouts that you regularly post.

A post on incorporating chinoiserie into beach/coastal design would be much appreciated. I'm over all the shells and coral accent pieces. Thank you in advance for offering a new series.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking for inexpensive chinoiserie fabrics or pillows.
ReplyDeleteYou're very helpful in doing this anyway, but perhaps a feature on good shops (both online and brick-and-mortar) that you recommend as Chinoiserie sources, both high and low end.
ReplyDeleteHow to mix chinoiserie within a bohemian or urban chic decor, as well as, affordable but lovely chinoiserie wall paper options (a la de gournay.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
