One Room Challenge Chinoiserie Series

As our tour continues of rooms from the One Room Challenge that include Chinoiserie, we look at another amazing office reveal. Julia from Pawleys Island Posh turned a wall in her dining room into a wonderful office infused with Chinoiserie elements. The bookshelves painted black and desk in coral pink are a great backdrop for her Chinoiserie touches like the Chinoiserie fish lamp, blue and white Chinese porcelain, pink Buddha head, and modern Chinese Chippendale chair. I am a big fan of mixing abstract art and animal prints with Chinoiserie as Julia has done here. I have a sprucing up of my office planned and am very inspired to paint my very traditional mahogany Chinese Chippendale desk in coral after seeing this.

  2. Isn't this WONDERFUL!!! While I have never been a fan of coral, after seeing her desk I have decided to paint a small storage chest in this color to see how it meshes with my decor! If it doesn't work, it's only paint, right? I DO think it will be a great addition to my space. So much inspiration from her work here!

  3. I love it, too. The black bookcases are smashing. Love the pillows and the mix of patterns, with little pops of color everywhere.
