Timeless Chinoiserie
This early 1970s project of Parish Hadley featured in Veranda is still wonderful after all this time. The North Carolina home, decorated four decades ago by Sister Parish and Albert Hadley, was recently inherited by the original owners' daughter. I believe that the only significant change she has made was having the previously apricot living room walls glazed in a pea green. I love it all, especially the pink Chinoiserie entry. I think I would just update the guest bedroom, leaving, of course, those wonderful shell headboards.

i love that pink entry. I have been really attracted to using rose colors in interiors lately. so pretty!
ReplyDeleteIt is a great apartment. The mirror over the fireplace in the lattice room opens to reveal the TV, a feature I still often utilize.
