Did anyone else grab a wonderful Paul Montgomery hand painted panel yesterday on One Kings Lane? They sold out faster than you could say "Chinoiserie." Above is the pair of Canton Garden panels I was able to get. Click to enlarge.
Very attractive, indeed. I have some wonderful old wallpaper panels that had been canvas lined, making them easy to work with. Fiberglass liners work just as well. I highly recommend it. __ The Devoted Classicist
Love your blog, too--I'm mad about chinoiserie, especially when mixed in with modern decor. Currently searching for a black & gold chinoiserie box with handle or hinge to put on the counter and throw all my junk in ... any ideas?
Ooooh, I'm SO jealous! Those are absolutely beautiful!!! Can't wait to see where you put them in your home~
ReplyDeleteExquisite!
