DIY Chinoiserie Wall Panels

Pictured above is Scalamandre Ming Circus wallpaper that was number one on our list of the top ten wallpapers. You can purchase it for about $200 a roll. Pictured below is a pair of French framed wallpaper panels circa 1910 at 1st dibs for $5,800. This is a perfect example of how you can buy a roll of Chinoiserie wallpaper you love, frame two sections of it, and you will have a wonderful pair of panels for your home. There are many new Chinoiserie wallpapers at all price points and you can also be on the lookout on eBay for vintage Chinoiserie wallpaper. A fabulous source for vintage Chinoiserie wallpaper in New York City and online is Secondhand Rose.

  5. Great idea Beth! MIng Circus has been one of my favorites for years. It should be viewed as an investment when purchasing high end wallpaper...it is a true art form!

  6. Marija-I intended by DIY that one would find a high end vintage or new paper and have it framed.
