My Christmas Decorating-Sitting Room
Having just completed my Christmas decorating, I will take you all on a tour of my home to show you my decorations. I hope you will find inspiration. The first room is my little sitting room that I use for reading. Some favorite things include the vintage Mario Buatta fabric "Evelyn" on the table skirt and chaise, my new vintage Baker Chinoiserie cocktail table, a great silk pagoda pillow I won on a giveaway at Odi et Amo, and plaid silk taffeta London shades. For the holidays, I decorate the gilt Chelsea House pagoda mirror with a velvet ribbon, bring out a pretty felt flower stocking, and best of all, decorate a tabletop tree. The tree is covered in antique millinery fruits and vintage fruit ornaments. I made the millinery fruits into ornaments by wrapping the stems in beautiful ribbons. Aren't the colors wonderful! The base is a yellow metal tole Chinoiserie container. Click on the photos to enlarge and enjoy!

ReplyDeleteThanks for showing us your decorations! You have such a lovely home!
ReplyDeleteHaving trees stored, and all done up is the way to fly. No more fresh trees for me, what a mess.
ReplyDeleteI just wrap them in plastic.
