Here it is! Since my daughter Kate moved to her own apartment in Georgetown two years ago, I decided it was time I stopped calling this room "Kate's Bedroom." With the addition of the Annie Selke gold leaf pagoda bed, the $55.00 Chinese Chippendale chair from Lucketts I painted in Farrow & Ball Skylight and covered in Cowtan & Tout fabric from eBay, the silk paintings above the bed from eBay, and some relocated items from my home, the room has now been rechristened "The Pagoda Bedroom." But when I get my flat screen television in there tomorrow, it may be renamed "The escape from football to watch Madmen and HGTV bedroom." Click on the pictures to enlarge for more detail.
Gorgeous! Bravo!!

ReplyDeleteHome Before Dark-Thanks-the room was pretty much extant, so the bed was the only major change.
ReplyDeleteRoom Service-I was never a blue room fan either. I inherited this Schumacher wallpaper when we bought the house ten years ago, and now I love it.

ReplyDeleteVery, very pretty! Love all of the details!
ReplyDeleteGranny Smith Green-Thanks for stopping by. I like how the wallpaper continues into the bathroom. The balloon shade fabric is a Ralph Lauren toile that coordinates beautifully with the Schumacher wallpaper.
ReplyDeleteKitty-Thanks for noticing all those details. It is a really tranquil space.

ReplyDeleteBeth - Looks beautiful! The kind of bedroom you want to spend the whole day in.
