It is rare when my love for fashion and Chinoiserie intersect. So this Fall 2009 RTW collection by Marni could not be more up my alley. Prints and color are a big look this fall, and I adore these Chinoiserie silk wallpaper prints Marni sent down the runway. Don't they have a de Gournay feel to them? One of these gorgeous Chinoiserie silks would definitely lift your look and your spirits.
It's like wearing Gracie wallpaper(in a good way!) Love it.
ReplyDeleteI love the yellow wallpaper with the pink flower and butterfly!
ReplyDeleteTheresa-LOL-I was thinking the same thing. An example of "you look like you are wearing wallpaper" being a compliment!
ReplyDeleteCC-That paper is such a classic!
ReplyDeleteOh my! Oh my! Very hip. I have a collection of silk embroidered pyjamas (some from the 70s)that I like to rock with just about anything. I usually don't wear the bottoms, but I just love the vibrant colors and mandarin collars. Another fab post!
ReplyDeleteof course I love this post- I am always fascinated by the overlaps- and as TC said- wearing Gracie paper-well who could complain. kudos! la
ReplyDeleteKitty-Oh, I love the idea of vintage Chinese silk. I hope you wear some sort of bottoms though-LOL!
ReplyDeleteLittle Augury-Love fashion/interior design connections, but they are rare with Chinoiserie.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous dresses! I love the intricate traditional prints with the clean and modern cut of the dresses.
ReplyDeleteAverill-These are so classic and elegant yet modern.
