The brick wall proves that chinoiserie can go perfectly anywhere!!! I'm mad about the white on brown fabric on that chair. With a more modern lines to it, that my mother might like. Now I'll just have to find it. A killer cornucopia of images. Gratitudes!!!!
Averill-I have an upcoming post on Chinoiserie dining rooms including this one. I love the colors and the use of black and white. I like painting doors black-if the doors are not gorgeous, they look so much better in black! It takes some people convincing, but once they do it, they always love it!
A feast for the eyes. I especially love the lamp with the shade "hat" - charming!
ReplyDeleteOMG that grey dining room! Breathtaking! Meow!

SF-I will be doing an entire post on the amazing Billy Haines.
ReplyDeleteKitty-If you are referring to the black and white photo, that dining room is by Billy Haines, and it is wonderful.
ReplyDeleteAlicia-The fabric looks to be Quadrille Lyford.
ReplyDeleteSimply gorgeous. I absolutely adore Liz Lange's dining room featured in the last photo.
