Setting the Chinoiserie Table

As summer begins, here is a wonderful idea for setting your summer table, indoors or out. This very cool design by Thomas Paul called Hong Kong Garden, references traditional blue and white china patterns, but in a modern chic way. Perfect for alfresco dining on the deck or terrace, a very chic picnic, or to glamorize take-out. These are made of melamine, and are very well priced (platter is $18.00, dinner plates are 4 for $36.00, dessert plates are 4 for $28.00).

  1. Marvelous! I wish I could find some affordable chinoiserie plates not in melamine - I need new dishes.

  2. SF-Reasonably priced dinnerware is hard to find-especially patterned. I detest stoneware period. I use good china everyday. I do think Target has some well priced dishes with an Asian influence. I would look there. I will also keep my eyes open.
