Chinese Garden Stool DIY

Leslie Hayes Interiors
It is supposed to get to 100 degrees in DC today and I have an outdoor concert - Diana Krall - tonight at Wolf Trap. I think I would rather be on this lovely patio by Philadelphia interior designer Leslie Hayes. I adore the color scheme of blue and white with punches of orange and those fabulous vintage Greek key patio chairs. The cocktail table is pure genius - three blue and white Chinese garden stools topped with glass. This would also work indoors and might also be great with two garden stools and a rectangular piece of glass. I think I would ditch that Liberace candelabra, the ugly potted plant and that crab - this is probably on the Main Line, not the beach, but the rest of it is wonderful.

  1. Great picture! I agree about the candelabra and the rectangular piece of glass! It's still stunning and I hope you can keep this in the back of your mind while you are at the concert! Have fun!

  2. Jealous of your venue tonight!!! Enjoy yourself! I love the chairs in this photo and agree with you on the table! But: I do rather like the Liberace candelabra..just not HERE (can't offer a suggestion for another location either!)...and that plant looks ridiculous: it has no presence. Still, a lovely outdoor space, all in all.

  3. I have used one of my Garden Stools with a thick round of glass over it! Multiples would be gorgeous!
