Greek Key Trim

Megan Rice Yager
A perfect way to dress up curtains, whether custom or ready made is with Greek key trim. These are a great example - green silk taffeta with pale blue trim and the perfect one inch break. Of course I love the leopard carpet and the bamboo blinds as well.

Fabric as Wallpaper

Megan Rice Yager
Yager used Scalamandre Shanghai fabric on the upper wall and trimmed it in red gimp. Upholstering a wall is also great for acoustics. The lamp is by Christopher Spitzmiller.

On Patience

Traditional Home - Megan Rice Yager

This is one of my favorite Chinoiserie bedrooms from the home of interior designer Megan Rice Yager from a few years ago. I love the Chinese screen behind the bed, the pagoda lamps, the tufted faux bamboo bench, the striped rug, white linens, monogrammed shams - I love it all. I set out to find a beautiful paisley blanket like this one for my own pagoda bedroom. I searched high and low and never found one.

Yesterday I was in a HomeGoods and found a gorgeous all wool paisley blanket very similar to this one. I remembered this wonderful bedroom and snatched it up. I love HomeGoods. I'll take a picture to share. Speaking of pictures, many of you have asked about my garage redo. Well, I did finish it a couple of months ago and it came out great. I have found it impossible to take good photos of it myself, so when my photographer comes over in October to shoot my One Room Challenge, she will also take pictures of the garage and our new puppy Margot.
