| Antique Bone Mahjong Betting Sticks |
I ordered these beautiful and unusual antique bone mahjong betting sticks over the weekend. Mahjong betting sticks (also called scoring sticks, counters, or "bones") act as a physical bank to track points or money during a game. They function like poker chips, allowing players to easily make bets, pay winners, and settle scores without relying on pen and paper.
Traditional sets usually include 120 sticks (often ivory or cream-colored) marked with combinations of colored dots. The dots represent different values—for example, a stick with a single dot is typically worth 100 points, while others might represent 500, 1,000, or 5,000 points.
They are easily found on eBay and Etsy. I thought they would be a chic addition to my mahjong table.
I bought this mahjong tile pouch for a little thank you for my teacher. It's so darling I am going to have to get one for myself.

These highlighters and line finders are great for marking your favorite hands on your mahjong card. With over 70 unique hands, this is a nice way to make finding your go-to hands easier to spot.
