Chinoiserie at 1/12 Scale

Do you remember reading Gulliver's Travels by Jonathan Swift as a child? I was thinking I would like to be a few inches tall like the people of Lilliput and move into my dollhouse.

 At top is the master bedroom - I have just added the gold pagodas and the artwork to the fireplace.

This is the entryway. It has a black and gold chinoiserie library table filled with books and four matching stools. The vintage blue and white needlepoint rug has dragons and a Greek key border.


Mini CCC

I also got a new Canon PIXMA printer this week because I wanted a printer that is superior for color printing. Canons are known for their detailed, vivid, and accurate color reproduction. I previous had an HP that was great for documents but not for color printing. I plan to create lots of my own artwork and wallpaper for mini CCC.

Great paper is also important for high quality color printing. I got this Matte Epsom Presentation Paper that I really like.

    I inherited a similar black lacquer chinoiserie table and four chairs from my exquisite mother-in-law. She used it for playing bridge; I use it as a library table piled high with heavy books and topped with orchids in cachepots. Now I just need mini CCC’s vintage rug. Cheers!

    I love the library table with the books. I wish I had known about the Canon printer's ability to print quality color images before I purchased my HP.
