A chinoiserie piece I have long coveted is a red and gold lacquered secretary. Fine antique versions are tens of thousands of dollars and excellent reproductions can easily be over $10,000.
One of the things I love about dollhouse decorating is sourcing fabulous chinoiserie miniatures. I can create a perfect little chinoiserie world. I found two pieces over the weekend I am so happy with.
The first is this red chinoiserie secretary that will go in the living room of my new dollhouse.

Isn't it gorgeous? This will also go in the living room at mini CCC. If you are interested in miniatures, my favorite sources are definitely eBay and Etsy. I am primarily interested in unique vintage pieces and they both have so many. And eBay is no longer primarily auction based. Most pieces are Buy It Now and many have the option of making the seller an offer.
