| Tulips in Blue and White Chinese Porcelain |
Want to keep your tulips fresh and keep them from drooping? Here are some tips -
Cut the tulip stems at a 45° angle. Use a pair of sharp scissors or a knife.
Some leaves should be removed to keep tulips healthy and fresh. Remove the most outer leaves on the stem.
Choose a vase that is half to two thirds of the height of the tulips for support as tulips continue to grow after being cut.
Plunge freshly cut tulips in the vase filled with cold water.
Put a penny in the water to keep the stems from drooping - some people swear by this, others say it is an old wive's tale.
