Halloween My Style

I think this is the most fabulous Halloween decoration ever. As you can see, it is a large black faux boxwood Jack-O'-Lantern topiary. I have mentioned before how much I love topiaries.

I just found it at HomeGoods and I got an unbelievable price on it. It will go outside in my front entrance each evening through Halloween and spend days inside so I can enjoy it.

It is all "go" here - upcoming I am hosting a Thanksgiving Wine Tasting & Pairing, planning my Christmas decorating, and hosting a big Christmas Party. 

When do you start decorating for Christmas? Last year I decorated Thanksgiving week and was all done by Black Friday. I loved decorating a bit early so I could relax and enjoy parties and all the festivities and such. I plan to do the same this time - less than a month away.

Do you decorate for the holidays the same way every year or change things around and mix it up? I love shopping for a few new things each year. When I unpack my Christmas decorations, I load my car up with items I have gotten tired of and donate them. I don't feel guilt about getting rid of things since i know others will enjoy them.

I am keeping the wonderful island of Jamaica and others in the Caribbean in my thoughts the next few days. They could get hit with a Cat 5 hurricane and up to 40 inches of rain. If you know Jamaica, this would be catastrophic. That amount of water coming down the mountains could wash everything out to sea. Even the storm chasers are getting out ahead of it. It could be the worst hurricane to ever hit Jamaica. So so sad.

The snowbirds have returned to Florida and my quiet little beach town is no more for the next six months. In Florida, you know it's fall when the license plates change colors. I will hide at CCC today and watch football. Go Bucs!
