I love these ideas by Carolyne Roehm for a very luxe Halloween, especially for those of us who are not big lovers of orange. If you love Halloween, but want a more elegant and sophisticated look, silver is a great choice. Above, carve Jack O'Lanterns and paint them silver. You can use silver spray paint or silver craft paint with a sponge brush. Gray tulle adds an ethereal touch.
I love this silver life size skeleton wearing a Halloween fascinator.

These 14" silver witch hats are only $5 and so cute in person.
The first year I lived in my house, my sister and I decorated for Halloween. She parked her beat up old black truck in the driveway and we rented a skeleton. He sat in the driver's seat, leaning out the window, with a can of beer in one hand and a cigarette in the other. There were other decorations as well, but the truck display was the highlight (lowlight?)!
