Peonies All Year Long

Tree Peony - Wikipedia

Peonies, both herbaceous and tree form, are my favorite flowers. I so enjoyed Publix and Trader Joe's having gorgeous cut peonies in May and June. Unfortunately, peony season is now over. But I have found a way to extend the season in one lovely way.

I love the scent of fragrant peonies. Generally speaking, the double, white, and pink peonies tend to be the most fragrant, while most single and red peonies do not have a scent – though there are a few exceptions. Tree peonies smell much like roses. Fragrance of a particular variety may also vary with temperature, humidity, time of day and even growing conditions.

If you are a fan of Mrs. Meyer's Clean Day products, I just discovered Peony and it is quite lovely. I am a long time fan of their Honeysuckle, Lemon Verbena, and Basil.

Everything in Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day's line of cleaning products, personal care items, and home goods is made from a cruelty-free formula and without phthalates, artificial colors, and parabens. Mrs. Meyer's delivers a smell-good clean without sacrificing the things that matter the most, whether that's the environment or your household health.

Peony is a fruity floral with notes of peony, melon, and mint.

For those of us who dream of springtime flowers all year long, Peony packs an intoxicating, full-bodied floral scent with subtle fruit and a hint of mint.

Here are some of my favorites -

Peony Multi-Surface Cleaner

Peony Dish Soap

Peony Sinkside Trio

Peony Room Freshener

Peony Laundry Detergent

Peony Multi-Surface Concentrate

Peony Dish Soap Refill

Peony Soy Glass Jar Candle

  1. What a lovely way to start the week. Been using Mayers Lavender for years but will try the Peony. Always a bit sad when the last blossom has wilted. This year was a bumper crop in my garden. Thanks Beth.

  2. Peonies are my favorite too. Thank you for the tip, Beth. It's going to be an incredibly hot week here in northern CA. WHEW! Hope you are staying cool, and giving your knee a rest.
