Dessert Plates

Lou Rota Nature Table Dessert Plate

I love china and enjoy mixing and matching. I fell in love with these fabulous dessert plates. They are available in six different designs, but this one is so me and so Florida that I am getting a set in all this design.

And with the blue and white in the design they will work so well with all my blue and white china.

"Featuring vintage-inspired curves and charming motifs, this dessert plate is designed by Lou Rota in collaboration with Anthropologie.

Artist Lou Rota has long been drawn to the beauty of the natural world. Her passion for entomology was piqued during the early days of her career, which were spent producing science and natural history documentaries. Today, from her West London studio, Rota designs the whimsical bugs, flowers and birds that grace her ceramics."

The beautiful bird depicted is a Scarlet Ibis -

Scarlet Ibis

We have Ibis in South Florida, but this species is native to South America and the Caribbean. White Ibis are very common here and are year round residents. I see them daily.

We do have Roseate Spoonbills here and they are my favorites.
