72" Faux Fiddle Leaf Fig |
I love this version. It looks good in any space. The leaves, the trunk, and the branching all look very realistic. This style with the single tall trunk does not take up a lot of space and works perfectly in a corner.
At 6 feet tall, it is a great size. I personally like fiddle leaf figs best in baskets. It has a very organic look. Great baskets are easily found at places like Target, World Market, and HomeGoods. Get a big basket which will make the tree look more realistic. It will make it even taller if you prop it up in the basket on bricks or an overturned pot or bucket.
Secure the plant in the basket with rocks or bricks or packing materials and top it all with Spanish moss or sheet moss. Take some time to arrange the branches and the leaves. I like to arrange the vast majority of the leaves facing forward as the backs do not look as realistic.
The price is great and shipping is free. I have one in my breakfast room and love it!
Yours is the first email I read each morning, after I make a cup of coffee, of course. It's a lovely way to start my day!
ReplyDeleteAgree, same for me. I love the British colonial book and always find great options. Thanks for keeping it up for us.
DeleteThank you so much for your comments and for following. It's good I post early - I have many followers who have commented that they read CC over coffee!
DeleteIf you want something similar to the Fiddle Leaf Fig that isn't as fussy, try the Ficus Aralia Fabian. It's a fuller plant with slightly smaller leaves. It enjoys middle to bright light.
ReplyDeleteThanks - I'll check it out.
