Since I am all ready for Christmas, I thought I would start putting together ideas for New Year's Eve at CCC as my daughter and her S.O. will be here. We are staying in, and I am planning my attire, beverages, and food.
I am wearing this sequined off the shoulder dress that I got last year at Anthropologie.
With it I will wear these gorgeous crystal flats I just got from J.Crew.
I am not usually into bling, but NYE is the exception.

There will be lots of Champagne of course and one of my favorite cocktails - the Champagne Cocktail. Here are two recipes - the Classic Champagne Cocktail and the Chinoiserie Chic Champagne Cocktail.

The Chinoiserie Chic New Year's Eve Champagne Cocktail
1 Part Domaine de Canton French Ginger Liquer
3 Parts Champagne, Sparkling Wine, or Prosecco
Squeeze the juice of a lemon wedge
Add a lemon twist
Serve in a Champagne flute
With its exquisite pagoda inspired Chinoiserie bottle and equally amazing taste, this French ginger liquer deserves a spot on your bar.

| Classic Champagne Cocktail |
Ingredients
1 sugar cube
2 to 4 dashes Angostura or other aromatic bitters
Champagne (or other sparkling wine), chilled, to top
Garnish: lemon twist
Place a sugar cube on a bar spoon and douse with the bitters.
Drop the cube into a Champagne flute or similar glass.
Fill the glass with Champagne or other sparkling wine.
Garnish with a lemon twist.
My two favorite "Champagnes" in the under $20 category are Chandon Brut and Mumm Napa Brut. Both are lovely sparkling wines at a great price point and easy to find.

I'll post some food plans too soon. I am off to Total Wine this morning for a Champagne run. They also stock my favorite bitters - Hella Bitters Aromatic.
