Chinoiserie Chic Chaussures

Aquazzura x de Gournay

A few years back there was a fabulous footwear collaboration between Aquazzura and de Gournay. These are long gone, but I have rounded up some great current choices for shoes with some chinoiserie flair.

The first are these just released limited edition Jack Rogers midnight blue velvet loafers embroidered with ginger jars. These can be worn indoors or out. They would make an amazing Christmas gift for the chinoiserie lover - but grab them now, they will sell out. Click on the captions for full details or to order.

Two really fun Jack Rogers sandals that are very Palm Beach Chic.

Jack Rogers Embroidered Pineapple and Flamingo Sandals

We love combining gingham and chinoiserie and these are a favorite brand of mine.

Venetian Pink Grande Jardin Slippers/Loafers

Chinese Braided Straw Slippers

I love these and wear them around my house all the time. They were featured in Veranda and sold out but have restocked. They have straw soles, so don't wear them outside or expect them to last forever, but they are $17.50, darling, chic, and comfortable. Also nice to have a couple of fresh pairs on hand for the guest bedroom.

  1. Beth ~ LOVED the de gournay. Hate to have missed those. They are pure perfection. I’m loving the Braided straw slippers and plan to order. Can you tell me if you are ordering your normal size ? Not sure bc I’m usually a 7.5 in pumps and flats and an 8 in sandals and tennies. Your insight is appreciated. Thanks for all the time and love you put into your blog. You are cherished by many. ☀️❤️☀️ TJF

    1. Thank you for your lovely comment. The Medium fits a size 7 to 8 but they also give the foot measurement - Medium fits a 9.5" to 10.25" foot. So measure to be sure but I wear a 7 or 7.5 and order the Medium.

  2. I too love the Aquazzura x DeGournay shoes, and am so sorry I missed them. They must have come out at a time when I was on a money diet and couldn't purchase anything quite so extravagant.
