Megan Winters - Traditional Home |
My daughter is house hunting in one of my favorite places anywhere - Annapolis, Maryland. With its historical charm, Chesapeake Bay setting, some of the world's best sailing, Chesapeake blue crabs, and the beaux art Naval Academy, it is an extraordinary spot. I envision a home with lots of navy blue, stripes, dark woods, gleaming old hardwood floors, and blue and white Chinese porcelain. Nautical preppy chinoiserie. The blue and white star tiles I used for my entrance would be perfect.

Happy Mother’s Day Beth.
ReplyDeleteLove that area. May your daughter have good luck in her search.
And that first photo.....well.....perfect!
Annapolis is wonderful but the market is nuts there and everywhere. I'm glad I am not house hunting!
DeleteHappy Mother's Day! Love the navy and white, you have done a beautiful job with your lanai! All the photos were so inviting. I hope your daughter finds the perfect home.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much.
DeleteI love, love, love your lanai!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much. The lanai and view are what sold me on the house.
DeleteNative Annapolitan here and I can’t wait to see what your daughter chooses and how she decorates it. Please share her progress with us!
ReplyDeleteI will. They especially like Epping Forest.
DeleteBeautiful lanai!!
ReplyDeleteThanks. One of my favorite spots in the house.
DeleteAt first glance I thought all of the stripes in these pictures were black and white, until Anonymous mentioned navy and white. Anyway, they are all beautiful. Ralph Lauren makes a sofa with wide navy and white stripes that I think is just stunning. I especially love navy with pink. Diana Vreeland once said that pink is the navy blue of India.
ReplyDeleteHappy Mother's Day, Beth. I hope your daughter finds the Annapolis home that she adores.
I love navy and white stripes. To me, pink goes with everything. Thanks!
DeleteSigh...so many beautiful things, so little time.
ReplyDeleteTrue.
DeleteJust beautiful and so elegant. Love the floor tile selection. Happy Mother’s Day, Beth!
ReplyDeleteThanks - hope you had a great day.
