I think lots of folks in Florida overdo the whole beachy thing and end up with kitschy. I am looking for ways to include the Florida look in a more sophisticated way. One idea that appeals to me is seashells in vintage/antique/classic urns. Great styling above with the iconic book I Married Adventure.

This is a look that can be used indoors or out.
