I decided I want a great pool float with Chinoiserie style and fell in love with several and truly need help. What do you think? Above is a gorgeous and massive flamingo in a really pretty rose gold by SunnyLIFE. It gets rave reviews.
Next up is this group of oversized float rings in lots of great patterns and colors. I have put together this group of four and I would order all four. They have been widely featured online and in magazines and are very chic.
Last is this Ice Dragon Pool Float from Amazon. It is crazy cheap and gets rave reviews and is truly a Chinoiserie Chic choice.

ReplyDeleteI like the stripes. A friend's kid brought one of the swans to our pool last summer and it took up an enormous amount of room in the pool and looked like a teenager's attention seeking, juvenile kitch pool toy. I see I'm in the minority but I like a relaxing sophisticated look around the pool and the figural floats are not it.

ReplyDeleteEven though orange is not my color to decorate with, its the most chinoiserie.
ReplyDeleteAs you well know, opinions are worth what they cost you to get them! That being said, I am chiming in with my 2 cents: I adore the dragon because he is fun (and since he is cheap, if you tire of him, it's no great loss!) and love the striped floats, especially the pink. I almost never choose anything in an orange colorway, just because....but that coral IS nice....this is a happy dilemma to be in the midst of!

ReplyDeleteI like the variety and fun of the rings, plenty for guests and each person can pick their favorite of the four. The dragon seems the popular favorite but it’s only good for one and much too big.

ReplyDeleteThis is a tough choice! I love the flamingo, but also the banana leaves, and anything pink is always eye catching......but I'd go with the dragon as it is so fanciful and fun and such a conversation piece!!
