John Rosselli |
This is the incredibly chic Manhattan apartment of John Rosselli (who is married to Bunny Williams). Note the subtle but exquisite use of Chinoiserie - blue and white Chinese porcelain, an antique black and gold Chinese desk, and blanc de Chine.
On a personal note, I plan to be back to regular posting. The past 6 months drained me profoundly physically and emotionally - leaving the home I had lived in for 20 years with my daughter and late husband, losing my adored pup Isabella at the age of 16, packing and downsizing a lifetime of belongings, moving to Florida, and setting up a new home under very adverse circumstances including a botched crazy expensive new tile roof leaking everywhere and resulting mold issues causing health issues in my pups Harper and Margot.
Thanks for all your notes and concern - I am feeling stronger and plan on sharing my new lovely Chinoiserie filled home with you all as well.
This blog has been a labor of love for over a decade and I am looking forward to returning to it more than you know.

ReplyDeleteThere you are, Beth. I was wondering where you were! I'm so sorry for all of your tribulations. Life can certainly test us. I can't wait to see what you will do with your Sarasota home. You must tell me what it's like - Sarasota, I mean. I am a native northern Californian, but CA has just become too much for me, and am thinking seriously of re-locating. Good to see you again!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment - I like that Sarasota has opera, ballet, symphony, world class museums, great restaurants, and is a real city. Feel free to email me if you like.
DeleteSo happy to see you back and sorry for your recent tribulations. Hope that 2020 will be so much better!

Welcome to South West Florida, we call it Technicolor land, it’s always sunny and it will make you happy. Missed your blog! You will have so much fun creating your vision in your new home. We are Open House junkies in our neighborhood and we are tired of seeing the same modern mix in all the staging here, Florida homes need your Chinoiserie Chic! Did I ever send you the after pictures of my reno in Bonita Springs—totally your style.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much - yes, you did send pictures - gorgeous!
DeleteGlad to see you're back! Have missed your posts. Wishing you good luck and happiness in your new home and so sorry for your losses. ~suburbanmom2
ReplyDeleteSo glad you're back! So sorry you've had a rough few months.
ReplyDeleteOh my, just saw that you are posting again - wonderful! It is great to be in a new area with all sorts of great finds. Looking at your posts gives me ideas for what I should be looking for at the estate sales here in Palm Desert. This area is a Chinoiserie mecca. Decorating is a wonderful past time!
ReplyDeleteHave you checked out the Barnum & Bailey circus museum? Wonderful! - Babs
