I admit that I was not aways the hugest fan of orange in interior design, but I have grown to love it. This is a perfect example of how to use orange to add a fun and modern vibe to a room that still stays elegant and classic. A pair of orange lamps, a traditional bergere chair upholstered in a dramatic orange Chinoiserie Quadrille fabric, and a pair of cane and bamboo chairs lacquered in orange are all wonderful.

ReplyDeleteThis is a wing chair I own that is similar. It's from a 1964 dollhouse furniture collection by Ideal Toys, called the Petite Princess line. I immediately thought of it when I saw your first image. I feel the same about orange, but love it in combination with other things.
I'm not a fan of orange. Filling a blue and white bowl with citrus fruit is about the extent that I will go to to add a pop of orange to a room or tablescape.
