I am completely convinced that ANY room can be made more beautiful with a dose of Chinoiserie. Take this bedroom above. Without the Greek key trim on the bedding and the bamboo Chinese Chippendale chair, this room would be fine, but with the addition of the Chinoiserie, it is fabulous. I love the idea of a black leather cushion on a Chinese Chippendale chair - such a cool combination.
