Unexpected Combination & New Inspiration Board

In this room above that graced the cover of Elle Decor in March of 2007, Chinoiserie antiques and dark colors are brought to life with the unexpected choice with Chinoiserie of a yellow sofa and purple ikat pillows. I have used lavender walls, canary yellow Bergere club chairs from Charlotte & Ivy, purple ikat pillows from Madeline Weinrib, a blue and white Chinese garden stool, and vintage faux bamboo chandeliers painted Chinese red

    Did you see liza Pulitzer's home in the latest House Beautiful? It was all Chinoiserie / Palm Beach chic but with a lot of dark purple and an almost Autumnal palette.
