Speaking of Mary McDonald

Mary McDonald has changed my all time favorite office from this above, to this below. What's the verdict? Prefer the blue before or the coral and gray redo? I'll bet you can guess my answer.

  1. Mary can do no wrong in my opinion. Love everything she does. Her office redo is fab!

  2. Your a coral girl. I think it was time for a change. I really can't see the artwork enough to have an opinion on that. I like the gray better.

  3. I do love the color of the blue; although for me it is a room too busy.

The grey and coral is more calming and balanced for me.

  4. Know you love that coral!!! I liked the blue but not all the pictures on the wall...too much...still...I always think her work is perfection!!

  6. Are those built in drawers on the side wall?
    Swoon!
I like the blue but with fewer pictures on the back wall.

  7. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Mary. Can't lie...I adore them both. I may actually love the gray more. I seriously just want to hang out with her :)

  8. I am a coral girl but really didn't like the redo. The blue is much more calming and elegant. I preferred Beth's take on a coral office over Mary's grey. Why mess with perfection?

  9. Looks like Mary needed a office with a sense of calm, although I did love the wonderful blue, whimsical past office! This one is tastefully done, simple and sophisticated!

  10. Personally I was always a big fan of the ice blue office but if I was hiring her and I came to her office with my husband, I don't think it has as much of a business look.
The new office I think is more appropriate, but who wouldn't love to have the blue one as a home office.
    Love her work!

  11. I loved the Aqua, but I totally understand the need to change. Mary looks good in red, and I love red as an accent color, but truth be told, I love everything that MM puts her hand to.

  12. Although the photo of the new office doesn't show as much of the room, it appears that Mary has removed much of what I loved about her office. The new gray wall makes it appear smaller. The wall sconces are lovely, but the lamps that were formerly on the desk were my all-time favorites. It appears that she has also changed out the beautiful Chinese Chippendale chair that went so well with the desk. I don't mind the solid wall, and I never really "got" the fashion photos, but, on the whole, I think the office has gone from extraordinary to ordinary.
