I had lots of fun this week adding color to my kitchen. With the mint green walls and green counters and floors, I decided to add my two favorite colors, pink and blue.
The gallery wall is close to completion. It includes from top to bottom, an elephant and a pagoda from The Pink Pagoda, a favorite Mother's Day card from my daughter, a Marilyn Monroe crayon sketch on a Paul Bocuse recipe from a favorite French artist, a Kate Spade card, an abstract by artist Kerry Steele, a vintage Brunschwig & Fils magazine ad, an Anne Harwell ginger jar print, and a vintage cork painting. The Kate Spade card came in the box with something I ordered. It says: "She is quick and curious and playful and strong."
Yesterday, I had the window treatment installed. It is a roman shade in Quadrille's Paradise Background in Raspberry on Tint. Perfection! It was done for me by Paul Johnson of Paul David Design.
The last two shots are of my counters that I am starting to play around with - you will see them finished next week. The three little Kate Spade posy vases are darling and ideal with my color scheme.
Now go see what my co-conspirators have been up to this week:
Oh Beth!! That wall is dead-on gorgeous! Love the colors and the Quadrille is perfect over your sink. What a happy and warm kitchen!!

ReplyDeleteThe pinks and greens are fabulous. Window is perfection and the gallery is the cherry on the sundae!
ReplyDeleteYour gallery wall is great! I love that each piece has a meaning, including a card from your daughter! And, I never considered mixing in cool advertising and all of those different elements. Good job.
ReplyDeleteAlso, the Quadrille fabric on your valance is to die for! Great work
Love the gallery wall, even more fabulous that Jennifer's art is making it's way into our homes. My Pink Pagoda print arrived this week! Also I LOVE that fabric you used for the blinds - fabulous!
ReplyDeleteHOLY chicness...that window shade is stunning. The art...well, you have a fantastic way of combining the most lovely pieces. The entire gallery wall is just beautiful. What a great way to enter and exit...looking at that!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE these pink accents--the gallery wall is a fantastic collection. I especially love the Kerry Steele abstract. Which is your favorite?
ReplyDeleteLOVE IT ALL!!! The gallery wall knocks it out of the park! And the gorgeous shade is absolute perfection. I was trying really hard to read the gold writing on that pink card you framed on the gallery wall...but could not make it out. You always do such amazing work!!! Can't wait for the final reveal!!
ReplyDeleteOMG: what will you dream up now that you have caffeine almost on IV drip and that fab curtain over your kitchen window, perilously close together! Love the art wall, particularly the bow-appetite Paul Bocuse menu. (We are old enough to remember the great one!)
ReplyDeleteWow! I am in love with your new gallery wall. It looks so chic and effortless, you have a great eye, Beth! And the fabric you picked for your window treatment is fantastic!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to see the reveal in week 6!
Have a good day!
