I'm A Giant Challenge - The Hollywood Regency Dressing Room

My dressing room is very Hollywood Regency glam - quite Mary McDonald inspired. I apologize for the mess - I was out shopping yesterday and out late last night for dinner and dancing, and I haven't put away all my shopping bags and clothes. Here's an overview of the details in the room:

Chinoiserie wallpaper - very Gracie - is Caspari wrapping paper
An Alice Zinn signed leopard rug
An iconic Barcelona bench
A gold faux bamboo mirror
Vintage Vogue magazines atop a vintage revolving coffee table with gold tipped legs and green marble top
A vintage mannequin
Barneys and Bergdorf Goodman shopping bags
Black stilettos
Window treatments made from antique Chinese hand embroidered silk
Recessed lights
Peekaboo bra and panties

  1. This looks beyond fabulous. I want to shrink so I can live here!

  2. You certainly did not disappoint! Best of luck in the contest! Wonderful job, love it.

  3. How FUN! I love this and can't wait to see the rest!

  4. OMG this is AWESOME! Love, love, love it!

  5. Incredible! And I have turned the WORLD upside down hoping to find a roll or two of that Caspari wrapping paper....a dear friend sent me a very sweet gift wrapped in his last 8" X 10" little piece last year and I have been in love ever since! This room is spectacular! Clearly you have had a BALL doing this and it has brought out every ounce of your considerable creativity!!! I want to be your granddaughter to receive this one day! I adore every single square inch of this room. I am holding my breath for the next and the next and the next reveal! Positively MAGICAL, Beth!

  6. Amazing, and finally really decadent!
Just been watching this movie called 'The bitter tea', most of the rooms looks like this!

  7. Love, love, love. Especially the contrast between the super feminine wallpaper and the masculine daybed. Very cool!

  8. Incredible. No detail was overlooked. Can NOT wait to see the rest of the reveal.

  9. Wonderful! Wonderful!
I am craning my neck to try and peek into the other rooms.

  10. I think the folks at Caspari would make a mint if the sold their wrapping paper as wallpaper!

  11. A most excellent beginning! Every element is perfection, right down to the shopping bags. I eagerly await the next installment.

  12. This is so cool.. I wished you'd post all the rooms... right now! :)

  13. Remember Lily Tomlin in "The Incredible Shrinking Woman?"

  14. The little lingerie set is so amazing! And it`s on one of my favorite pieces of furniture.
    Nice job.
