You may recall my previous post here on this wonderful Etsy find-a Blanc de Chine Chinoiserie epergne for $39.00. I wondered if it was one of those examples of too good to be true. I never heard from the seller despite several emails, had to open a non-delivery case, then finally learned that the seller lives in a rural location with no internet and had a tragic death in the family. Well, he finally arrived safe and sound and in mint condition. Finds on eBay and Etsy can be far different than ordering or buying from a store, but sometimes the end result is all worth it, as it was here.
A beautiful ending in every way.
ReplyDeleteJust found you through the enchanted home, i love chinoiserie and have used it in unconventional ways. I have it in my very modern apt. and it looks amazing. This is a beautiful litle piece and what a steal. Lucky you!

A beautiful steal!!
ReplyDeleteI am officially GREEN with ENVY! Of all your incredible finds this is THE ONE I would be willing to break and enter for. I can't stand it that I do not own an identical piece. If someone else uncovers one I will shoot myself!!! I am just going to HAVE TO BELIEVE that someday I, too, will stumble upon one.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing. I may have to take to my bed.
I'm glad that it finally arrived, but I would still remain skeptical of the seller - why would he have an Etsy account if he lives "in a rural location with no internet"? Surely he would note that in his listings?
