I will be the first to admit that I can't stand the gray look of Belgian decor and Restoration Hardware that has taken over the interior design world of late. But having just completed a home for a client with beautiful gray walls and lots of Chinoiserie touches, I have realized what a happy pairing gray and Chinoiserie can be. Here are some lovely examples.
Beautiful options, Beth. And I couldn't agree more on the whole RH and Belgian thing - it's a snooze for me.
ReplyDeleteWhen are we going to see some samples of your work here? Dying to take a peek.
ReplyDeleteBeth I so agree, did you read my post on Rest. hardware? I called it I miss Silver sage and boy do I. Love you examples with the gray. I need happier colors in my life and I know you do to. I love the use of color in your home, Kathysue
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear I've got some friends with me in the no Belgian / RH look. This past week I was in RH w/ my parents and you should have seen the confusion on my father's face over their new look. He kept asking, "Where did the Restoration Hardware go?" So funny.
ReplyDeleteVery elegant!
ReplyDeleteThose walls are so fabulous! These pictures are lovely (my feelings for RH wax and wane though...)
