Ceiling fans are practically a necessity in the South and husbands love them, but let's face it, they can be so ugly. This Chinoiserie one is anything but ugly. Available at Neiman Marcus and Horchow.
I think this is amazing although I think my heart is pulling towards the Fire Island Fandolier. If this fan comes home to live with you, which room gets fanned?
It is about time someone addressed this issue! Decorative ceiling fans is a market that could certainly be expanded. I love the wide blades on this one.
I wish I had photographed a fan my decorative painter did for a room-alas what happens when one works so long in this business- ok so the fan blades were black lacquered with a raised gold, beanstalk lattice, very Chinoiserie chic! not to mention the brown laq.walls and turq. fabrics, bamboo furniture-but I digress. This one is a winner! pgt
I so need that ceiling fan, gorgeous! You can seen my builders special fan that has taken me 7 years to replace in my most recent post on my blog. This is the one I have been waiting for. I have been loving your blogs and reading every word for a couple of weeks now. Great inspiration and I have learned so much, including how to spell Chinoiserie...Thank you for sharing your wealth of information and inspiration. I have discover many Chinoiserie pieces in my house and am building on the theme. Sue
