Number three on our list of the top ten Chinoiserie wallpapers is a vintage pattern. This trellis or lattice design has been popular since the seventies. I just won vintage Chinese Lattice wallpaper by the famous Louis W. Bowen on eBay pictured below. I am using it as part of my laundry room renovation. It is now manufactured by China Seas for Quadrille under the name Lyford Trellis and by Bob Collins under the name Chinese Lattice. This graphic paper makes quite a design statement and totally obviates the need for any art on your walls at all. Shown below you will see how this classic paper is a great favorite of interior designers for its drama and versatility.

ReplyDeleteI missed this post! Thank God I checked old posts. Love these papers. Thank you for the great Lyford Trellis resource. I have seen the Kelly Wearstler used. It is gorgeous. I must just say they all look amazingly similar the paper my mother used in our family/kitchen (next post comment). Just need the pop-arty yellow flowers splattered here and there.
