Today in our series on green we look at how some of our favorite designers combine green and Chinoiserie in rooms that are elegant, timeless, fresh, and modern. As you will see, it is a winning combination. Above, a wonderful vignette of green Chinese monochromes by Mary McDonald.
I heart green all day long
ReplyDeleteGORGEOUS, DELICIOUS every last bite!! I've collected many of the same images, but to see them all together on your beautiful page. Love! The Chinoiserie, the ELEPHANTS (my ID business logo), the greek key, and the pink ...BTW, you absolutely win hands down for The Best Blog in the World award, and I'm so happy to give it to you. Think I'll go make myself another cup of tea, then come back to drink it up with this deliciousness.
ReplyDeleteMy favorites (couldn't pick just one) are the last pic and the breakfast room with the black chinoiserie wallpaper and green alcoves. I might just have to save these. Are they both Mary McDonald's?
ReplyDeleteNope, the last one is Miles Redd, from your photo credit. :)

ReplyDeleteGreat rooms but some of the best designers working today. Well done, Beth!
ReplyDeleteYou sure know how to make one green with envy for a bit of green, be it a wall, a chair, a pillow, a tray, a mirror.... the list goes on.
ReplyDeleteI love to marry greens, the light with chartreuse, and dark emeralds.
I of course adore green!
