This wonderful Chinoiserie bedroom is by Betsy Burnham, yesterday's featured interior designer. Using a Chinoiserie screen behind a bed is a favorite trick of mine. It creates a focal point for the room, it mimics the look of high end wallpaper like de Gournay or Gracie, and unlike wallpaper, it is fully portable if you are a renter or may move.
Now that's a well-made bed! Love the screen and it does give it another dimension. Lovely.
ReplyDeleteThe composition is quite simply gorgeous!
