Chinoiserie makes me weak at the knees. It is my favorite style of all. So I decided to start this little offshoot of Style Redux to feature all that is Chinoiserie. I plan to do a daily post featuring wonderful examples of wallpaper, fabric, rooms, books, art, furniture, and decorative accessories. Please join me in this adventure if you have a passion for Chinoiserie as I do. This lovely photo above is of a Ruthie Sommers dining room featured in House Beautiful. I love the de Gournay wallpaper, the Chinese Chippendale armchair, and the garden urn filled with cherry blossoms. We love our cherry blossoms here in Washington, D.C.
Just beautiful.

ReplyDeleteAnne-Thanks for your support. I plan to do a post soon on some of your Chinoiserie inspired art and hope you are planning some Chinoiserie silhouettes.
