The Rattan Bar Cart/Today Show/Second Shot

Emily Painter Interiors

Did you see me on the Today Show this morning? I was interviewed by Gabe Gutteriez about problems getting the second Covid shot in Florida. BTW, I get my second shot this morning. Exciting morning!

I love a rattan bar cart, whether vintage or new. I have two - one in my lanai for accessories and a second in the guest bedroom as a bedside table. But there may be a new one in my future.

Both of these are great deals. This Opalhouse Cassia Rattan Bar Cart is $150.00. I have many Opalhouse Target pieces and I have found the quality and style to be excellent.

This navy blue one from Urban Outfitters would be perfect in my house and for any lover of blue and white chinoiserie and at $299 is a great price for a designer look. UO is a great source for rattan pieces.

PS - A follower kindly commented leaving the link for the Today Show here while I was out getting my second shot. Thank you!

  1. Oh, how did I miss that? Guess I was still in disbelief over your Naples Seed to Table supermarket where nobody was masked and they interviewed the evil owner who supported people not being masked! Unbelievably stupid and dangerous. What is wrong with people????

    1. You were great on The Today Show, Beth! So glad you got your second vaccine today. I live just down the street from Seed to Table here in Naples. Believe me, I don't shop there, although it is a lovely supermarket. It opened just before the Pandemic hit last winter and was fully stocked when other supermarkets, such as Publix, had lots of shortages. Unfortunately, the owner's vocal political views and actions, as well as the maskless people the store attracts keeps me far away. The Today Show didn't mention that the supermarket also has several bars and live entertainment that keeps it packed on a nightly basis with those who also espouse the same philosophies. Also, it wasn't mentioned that Alfie Oakes chartered two buses full of local supporters of our former president to Washington for the January 6 "Stop the Steal" events.

    2. There are unfortunately crazies like that all over the country. I looked at Naples and it was too conservative for me. Sarasota is definitely more diverse and progressive. 99% masked here in Venice. I feel very safe.

    3. Yes, Naples tends to be conservative (I am not) but Alfie is way beyond that and doesn’t represent the majority here. Southwest Florida is generally a conservative area. My ex-husband moved to Sarasota from New Jersey and is about as red as you can get! We have all kinds here in Florida, no doubt about it!

  7. I think I’m like the other person- was in total disbelief about the nutcase who doesn’t believe in masks nor all the Covid deaths. How utterly stupid! People are crazy to patronize his store.
Love all your posts. Congrats on getting your second shot.

  8. I've not even been able to get my first shot, but California seems to be so disorganized.

That first room of Emily Painter's is just so gorgeous. I love just about everything wicker so I will have to check out Target and Urban Outfitters. Thanks for the tip, Beth.
