Great Find

I found this rattan, cane, and raffia bar cart at Bed, Bath, and Beyond. If you sign up with them, you get 20% off plus free shipping bringing the price down to $128.00. Bar carts can be used for a zillion things beyond booze - I love using one as a bedside table, for example. This one has an Amanda Lindroth or Serena & Lily vibe going on at a great price point. I just ordered one for my guest bedroom. The black and natural colors gives it a British Colonial feel that I really like.

The one below is at Serena & Lily for $448.00 for the same size.

  2. Good morning! I much prefer the Serena and Lily cart because it sleeps next to me and has been for several months now. Compared to the BBB cart, S&L's is more delicate and subtle. I especially like the darker part not being interrupted by lighter contrasts and the wheels are more suitable to British Colonial style furniture than the BBB which gives it, IMHO, an office furniture vibe! To Each Her Own! BTW, the customer service at S&L was excellent. I inadvertently ordered two! I chalked it up to my "Klinger" fatigue since every thing that's come into my house since the second week in March, I have ordered online. Looking forward to the guest room getting its CC makeover.

    1. I'm glad, since you paid a lot more for it. I think the styling on the S & L is boring and the wheels look silly they are so small. But as you said, to each her own.

  4. Honestly, I am all for saving money. I think the BBB cart is lovely substitute. If you want to swap the wheels with Van Dyke's wooden wheels, more power to you for under $14 for 4. https://www.vandykes.com/steel-caster-with-wood-wheel/p/204495/. Plus a little paint on the beige wraps and you have an excellent design within reach! Love it.

    1. Great ideas. I am checking out the wheels. I personally love the contrast of the light wraps and would keep them.

  5. I would have guessed that the first one was the more expensive. It is so much more stylish. I do not care for the Serena & Lily one at all.

  8. I think the wheels on the Serena & Lily one look really out of proportion.

  11. Beautiful. I have a couple of different ones and I am thinking about adding that BB&B version. While looking, I tripped over a gold clover shaped cart by Willa Arlo on Wayfair and couldn’t resist it. But I mean, who can have too many bar carts? You can do so much with them, change them, move them...

  12. Thanks for sharing this find! I just ordered it for my son's bedroom. It'll hopefully make a great bedside table.

Ive had the Serena and Lilly cart in the natural straw color for about 10 years now and it's been very versatile. I'm excited to add another one.

Do tell, how many bar carts do you have now?!
